THE GOOD NEWS - YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD

"God demonstrated His own love for you in that, while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you." Romans 5:8

Man since the beginning of time has wondered and asked questions about his purpose in life questioning the existence of God, life after death, and if there is a God, can I really know Him? Does He have a plan for my life, and does He really love me in spite of my sins?

The purpose and ministry of ServingHIM is sharing God’s love, grace and mercy through health care. We believe that there is not only a God of this universe, but He is a loving God who desires to have an intimate relationship with each of us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In the beginning, God created mankind in perfect harmony and fellowship with Him. Because of man’s disobedience, sin entered the heart of man with a consequent separation from God. (Genesis 3) God’s word says,“we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The word of God says that "the payment for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him (i.e. embraces, accepts, trusts in, relies upon, clings to) should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). So God’s Son, Jesus Christ, was sent by His Father to redeem us from the slavery and bondage of sin and He paid the ransom for our freedom with His own blood that was shed on the cross. "Know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. The ransom was paid not with gold or silver, but with the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ" (I Peter 1:18‐19). Can we ever fathom that kind of love? "So through one man, Adam, sin entered the world and death (both spiritual and physical) through sin spread to all men because all have sinned. So also through one man Jesus Christ, God’s grace, love and forgiveness abounded to mankind" (Romans 5:12). So a just God required payment for our sin and yet a merciful God extended grace and mercy to us through His Son who paid the penalty for our sins (Romans 5:18). Our guilt and condemnation was exchanged for His righteousness and resulted in our justification of eternal life with Him (Romans 5:19). On the realization that we are all sinners and through the confession of our sins and accepting Christ’s redemptive love given for us with His sacrificial death, we then become children of God. The Bible says, “but as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Nicodemus, in John 3:1‐5, is told by Jesus, "unless a man is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. He must be born of water and the Spirit." When we were born physically we were birthed in water (amniotic fluid) and Jesus recognized this. However, our dead spirit inherited from Adam has to be reborn, and this is the new birth of our Spirit by the Holy Spirit and results in a gloriously changed heart and life. God desires to share His love with you and to bless you with His peace, His presence, His provision and to give you a new life in Him. Will you say “yes” to God today, confess you are a sinner and invite Jesus Christ into your heart for the forgiveness of your sins and receive eternal life through Him and with Him? What a day of remembrance this would be.

If you have just trusted Christ and exchanged your life for His, God’s Word says, “therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthian 5:17). You are now a child in the family of God. Welcome to the family and may our Lord Jesus Christ bless you in all ways as you begin a new journey with Him. This is only the beginning of a life of learning as God brings you into a new relationship with Himself.
