501(3)(c) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Amounts paid for auction items are eligible for a charitable donation deduction for Federal Income Tax purposes for the portion of the purchase price that exceeds the Fair Market Value of the item purchased.

Any hotel occupancy taxes or other taxes levied by the jurisdiction where the lodging accommodations are located shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.
