Throughout the Bible, God shows special concern for the widows and emphasizes the importance of caring for them. ServingHIM missionaries travel to impoverished areas of the world, where widows often find it difficult to secure shelter and proper sanitation facilties, as well as provide for their families. Following the biblical model of caring for the widows, ServingHIM missionaries intentionally seek out widows in need and build houses, stoves, and outhouses to provide them with a place of security and comfort. In addition to having their physical needs met, they hear the Gospel, are covered in prayer, and experience His love through God’s people. You can share in caring for those Jesus served.
